Travel Leaders Group Supports Efforts to Alleviate Hunger Through Annual Day of Giving

Campaign marked by donations and volunteer activities across continents

New York, NY (August 5, 2019) – Travel Leaders Group recently completed its annual Day of Giving campaign, collecting more than 33,000 non-perishable food items for donation to food banks across North America and internationally, as well as raising more than $67,000 in monetary donations directed to Feeding America and other organizations dedicated to alleviating hunger. Additionally, nearly 600 individuals volunteered at a wide variety of organizations within their local communities to support hunger-related initiatives.

Citing data provided by Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization, Travel Leaders Group CEO Ninan Chacko, CTC, said that in the U.S. alone, one in eight people, and one in six children, struggle with hunger daily. The need for help becomes greater during the summer when children who receive free meals at school are on summer break.
