CFO Richard Schmaeling to Depart Next Month for Publicly Traded Company Outside Travel Industry; Travel Leaders Group Names Parisa Salehani as Controller for Entire Organization
New York, NY (March 22, 2017) – Travel Leaders Group is today announcing a transition within its Finance team, as current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Richard Schmaeling will depart mid-April to become the Executive Vice President and CFO for Entercom Communications Corp., capitalizing on his deep media expertise. As part of the transition, it was also announced that Parisa Salehani will join Travel Leaders Group as its Corporate Controller at the beginning of April. Travel Leaders Group Chief Executive Officer Ninan Chacko indicated that an executive search for a new CFO was commencing immediately.
“Although Rich Schmaeling’s tenure with us has been all too brief, he has provided us with exceptional leadership and financial discipline that places Travel Leaders Group on solid footing for our future. We will immediately begin the process of searching for another strong finance leader to take his place,” noted Chacko. “Fortunately for our organization, Rich will have the opportunity to collaborate with Parisa Salehani prior to his departure. Parisa is coming to Travel Leaders Group with a wealth of finance experience, most recently as Director-Accounting Services, Assistant Controller for Time, Inc.”
Prior to her service at Time, Inc., Salehani has held various finance roles with several high profile companies, including Viacom Media Networks, American Express and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
